PLIDCO Announces Pete Haburt as New General Sales Manager

WESTLAKE, OHIO – August 2010 – The Pipe Line Development Company (PLIDCO), the world’s leading designer and builder of standard and custom engineered products for pipeline repair and maintenance, recently promoted Pete Haburt to general sales manager.

In his role, Haburt will oversee all export and domestic sales staff. Haburt has 35 years of experience with PLIDCO, where he started as a welder and later was promoted to a night plant supervisor. In 1983, Haburt moved to the PLIDCO sales department and since 2006 has held the position of assistant sales manager until his recent promotion.

“As the new general sales manager, I plan to stay focused on PLIDCO’s core business and work to develop closer relationships with our customers,” said Haburt. “I also will work to continue increasing PLIDCO’s global presence.”

Haburt is an associate trainer for the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) and an associate member of Midwest Energy Association (MEA). He has also participated in presentations around the globe including “Best Practices” in Alaska and in service pipeline repairs in Australia and China.

Haburt resides in Vermilion, Ohio.

Haburt’s predecessor, Frank Castro, is retiring after 44 years with PLIDCO. Castro held the position of general sales manager for the last 15 years. Ben Sweeney, general manager at PLIDCO, also retired this year.

CLEVELAND – March 2010 – The Pipe Line Development Company (PLIDCO®), the world’s leading supplier of products for pipeline repair and maintenance, announced the appointment of Engineering Projects, LLC as the new representative for Iraq and Luse Thermal Technologies, LLC as the new representative for Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and North and South Dakota.

The California based company, Engineering Projects, has accumulated an international clientele, successfully working in the Mesopotamia area of Iraq. The main customers are Iraqi industrial sectors such as fertilizer plants and phosphate plants, oil sectors such as refineries and pipe lines, and electrical post plants.

Luse Thermal Technologies emerged from the Chicago based Luse family, who own and operate various distribution and construction companies under Luse Holdings since 1923.
